Coffee and Convos Virtual Meeting - Workplace Mental Health

Join us on October 10th, World Mental Health Day, for a coffee chat dedicated to workplace mental health! Many organizations are discovering inventive and imaginative ways to champion their employees' well-being. During this one-hour session, we'll exchange insights and highlight successful approaches. Our focus will encompass methods to promote engagement, eliminate stigma, and cultivate an inclusive and supportive workplace environment for everyone.

How many of us put a lot of effort into finding and hiring the right person, only to have them walk out the door too soon? Sometimes we make the mistake of working so hard to get people IN the front door, we forget to close the back door. During our August session, we’re going to spend an hour sharing and discussing some innovative ways to think about our employee's needs and how to make them want to stay.

Culture is the heartbeat of an organization. It is the social operating system that shapes organizational values, defining how people work and determining how successfully. Of course, because workplace culture is dependent on the people establishing it, culture is active and always changing. While the fluidity of culture leads to difficulty sustaining strong workplaces, that fluidity also presents the opportunity for perpetual improvement. It is never too late for an organization to reform its culture from within, turning a negative into a positive.

During our April Coffee & Convos*, we'll discuss the benefits that military interns can bring to your organization.

Each year approximately 200,000 service members leave active duty. The SkillBridge program gives private industry early access to the experience and skills veterans bring to the workforce. Employers craft a program to meet their needs, all at no cost; the military pays service members while they participate in SkillBridge during their last 180 days of service.

This month we'll host an informal discussion and present on the landscape of healthcare and benefits. This will be a roundtable discussion where members can bring pertinent experiences and questions to the group for discussion.
