    The Unspoken Language of Belonging - Monthly Member Program (MMP)

    This program is especially tailored to managers, supervisors, and team leaders who want to identify and understand the concept of `Employee Belonging' as it pertains to Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity competency. This interactive training will provide contextual and practical examples of the Six Stages of Workplace Belonging© as an effective interpersonal process to build valuing workplace environments. Creating open communication and transparent culture can help develop a sense of belonging. It means allowing employees to voice their opinions, thoughts, and concerns in a way that makes them feel valued and steps for employees to feel that their work and contribution matters which creates inclusivity and a positive work environment. This program will also provide tools for examining how managers can foster a sense of employee belonging and boosting team morale without forfeiting their own personal values and beliefs.

    Host: As the founder/president of Significant Life Change© Dr. MelindaJoy Mingo has worked in multifaceted capacities such as high-impact leadership training for individuals and organizations, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Training, international educational curriculum development, national and international motivational speaking, and emerging leader development. She has worked in the Human Resource Development (HRD) field for over 20 years in various career capacities such as a human resource director for 5 high schools in the State of Colorado, training and intercultural leadership development director, hiring and retention, corporate assessments and strategic planning consultant, a human resource recruiter for the law enforcement arena, and an employment law professor.

    She is the Director of Belonging for the Colorado Springs Society of Human Resource Management and is a Co-Director for The Equity Project at Pikes Peak State College. She is also a professor at several higher education institutions and specializes in teaching Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, Employment Law, and Communication courses.

    Her roles in Leadership Consulting and Human Resource Management also presently includes a six-year partnership in Vietnam as a business lecturer and consultant at Foreign Trade University, International School of Business Ho Chi Min City and at Hanoi International University in Vietnam. Closer to home, MelindaJoy has provided consulting for organizations such as Leadership Pikes Peak, the Denver Sheriff’s Department, Department of Health and Human Services, the Colorado Springs Police Department, El Paso County Sheriff’s Department, the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Pueblo School District, Colorado Volunteer Association, Colorado Springs School Districts 11 and District 2, as well as various other government and non-profit organizations.
