“Build an HR Business Case that Gets to Yes!”

    DESCRIPTION:

An HR Business Case?? That sounds about as much fun as statistics and analytics, right? You didn’t go into HR to do any of these! That’s what MBAs and finance professionals are for

    Consider:

    • How often are your recommendations for HR initiatives and strategies accepted?
    • How many are embraced enthusiastically when you first present them?
    • How many probing questions do you receive from managers/executives/finance that you must then go research and resubmit? If, in fact, you have the opportunity to resubmit?
    • How do you respond to their objections?
    • How much easier and more rewarding would your job be if you had the tools to present a solid business case the first time that resulted in your boss or the executive team saying

    “YES, GO DO IT!”?

Creating and presenting a winning Business Case is one of the most critical skills you will need in your HR toolbox to accelerate your career to higher and higher levels of strategic value and success.

In this session, you will learn:

    • The 5-Step Process for Internal Consulting Success
    • Key Business Drivers to Include in Your Business Case
    • How to Monetize “Squishy” Desired HR Outcomes
    • How to Present Your Business Case Clearly & Succinctly

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

#1 – Identify, understand, and be able to apply the Internal Consulting Success Process

#2 –  Gain insight into key global business drivers and identify at least 1 that is critical to your particular organization

#3 –  Learn how to monetize at least 1 HR outcome desired by your organization that is not easily translated into dollars and cents

#4 –  Create a Business Case outline for a current HR initiative or objective
