Officer David Husted, C.S.P.D, Senior Master Sergeant USAF Reserve

Disaster can strike at any time. To manage both natural and man-made disasters, it is necessary to have an organized and thorough response plan in place. Who handles the emergency plans for places of employment? In a lot of cases the responsibility falls to the Human Resource Department. Are you prepared for disasters? Is your company? Do you have a plan?

Officer David Husted has served as a law enforcement officer for thirty-two years. Seven years in Montgomery County, Maryland, and the last twenty-five years with Colorado Springs Police. He is also currently a Senior Master Sergeant in the USAF Reserve, assigned to the 10th Security Forces Squadron, at the Air Force Academy and has deployed to Afghanistan once during Active Duty. Officer Husted has worked a variety of assignments with CSPD to include:

                    DARE Officer  School Resource Officer

                    Crime Prevention Officer

                    Bicycle Patrol Officer

                    Tactical Flight Officer (Police Helicopter)

Preparedness Officer- With Office of Emergency Management (Current Assignment)

During his presentation, Officer Husted will touch on “Hazards facing our community”, present an “Overview of the Office of Emergency Management,” as well as discuss “What can you do to prepare?”
