    The position:  The Director of Human Capital is a critical member of the Stockman Kast Ryan + Co Team. This role includes a broad range of responsibility/accountability including all aspects of the employee life cycle (recruitment, on-boarding, training, performance management, employee relations, promotions and separations), organizational development and compliance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business
    • Minimum of 5 years human resources experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
    • Ability to work with all levels of employees throughout the organization
    • Proven ability to work within a fast paced & flexible team environment
    • Ability to analyze data and incorporate into effective solutions
    • Working knowledge of HR practices  

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all aspects of staff recruiting including sourcing, pipeline management, job description development, candidate screening and interviewing process, reference checking and onboarding
    • Manage all aspects of staff performance including training, coaching, evaluating performance, monitoring hours and advising on career path
    • Manage administrative staff
    • Manage interns and seasonal staff
    • Make recommendations to ensure that the firm maintains a competitive compensation and benefits package
    • Serve as liaison between staff and partners
    • Assist with compliance with all federal, state and local jurisdictions through development and oversight of HR policies and practices, maintenance of HR records and documentation, training on compliance matters and other related requirements
    • Manage projects as assigned
    • Manage all facets of firm events including budgeting, planning and organization

    Do you enjoy being part of something new with the opportunity to build a program from the ground up?  Are you outgoing and motivated to help your company succeed?  If so, Matrix Design Group, a nationally recognized engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firm may have the opportunity for you.  We are looking for an experienced Recruiting and Human Resources Administrator with a recruiting background in the engineering industry or a professional services firm.  This position may be based in our Colorado Springs or Denver office and will require some travel between the two offices.  The successful candidate will be experienced with social media recruiting tools, have recruited for professional and executive level positions, be well-organized, will have a professional appearance and demeanor and a desire to provide top-level customer service to our employees and candidates.

    Position Summary:

    The Recruiting and HR Administrator will spend approximately 50% - 60% of her/his time on recruitment activities to include actively sourcing candidates, job posting, applicant tracking, and Affirmative Action Program (AAP) compliance, and employee orientation and onboarding.  The Recruiting and HR Administrator will also be responsible for some day-to-day HR support for employees, some benefits administration support and may provide backup payroll processing.
